Additional Arrest on Murder Case in Nicholas County

(Carlisle, Ky.) - On March 3, 2014 the Kentucky State Police arrested Joshua Abney (34) of Carlisle Ky. He has been charged with Complicity to Commit Murder in connection with the Murder of David Sadler. He was arrested on Bald Hill Road in Carlisle without incident. Officer Scott Johnson of the Carlisle Police Department obtained a location of Mr. Abney and assisted in the arrest. Joshua Abney is housed at the Bourbon County Detention Center in Paris. Murder Arrest in Nicholas County

Date of News Release: 03/03/2014

(Carlisle, Ky.) - The Kentucky State Police, at Post 6 in Dry Ridge, have made an arrest on a cold case murder that occurred on March 31, 2003. After receiving new information, Detectives conducted a further investigation. The information obtained led to the arrest of Shawn L. Fryman (36 years old) formally of Carlisle, Kentucky. Troopers took Mr. Fryman into custody at his current residence in Harrison County without incident. Mr. Fryman has been charged with one count of Murder. Victim David Sadler, of Carlisle Kentcky, was found dead inside his residence in Carlisle from a single gunshot wound to the head. Shawn Fryman is housed at the Bourbon County Detention Center. The Kentucky State Police were assisted by Carlisle Police Department and the Nicholas County Sheriff's Office in this investigation.
