Kentucky State Police, Richmond Post, Activity for December 2013

(Richmond, KY.) -- Captain Greg Crockett, Post Commander of the Kentucky State Police, Richmond Post is reporting the following activity for the month of December, 2013.
Troopers and Detectives issued a total of 1,473 citations of which 295 were for speeding, 10 for no child restraint and 148 for no seatbelts. There were a total of 26 individuals arrested for driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol. Troopers issued 395 courtesy notices, and assisted 89 stranded motorists, while inspecting 1,572 vehicles.
Richmond Post investigated 72 traffic collisions in the month of December.
Detectives and Troopers investigated 901 complaints, opened 47 criminal cases, and made 159 criminal arrests.
