Kentucky State Police, Richmond Post, Activity for January 2014

(Richmond, KY) -- Captain Greg Crockett, Post Commander of the Kentucky State Police, Richmond Post is reporting the following activity for the month of January, 2014.
Troopers and Detectives issued a total of 1,386 citations of which 169 were for speeding, 4 for no child restraint and 118 for no seatbelts. There were a total of 17 individuals arrested for driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol. Troopers issued 297 courtesy notices, and assisted 109 stranded motorists, while inspecting 954 vehicles.
Richmond Post investigated 48 traffic collisions in the month of January.
Detectives and Troopers investigated 984 complaints, opened 93 criminal cases, and made 177 criminal arrests.
