Kentucky State Police, Richmond Post, Activity for March 2014

(Richmond, KY) -- Captain Greg Crockett, Post Commander of the Kentucky State Police, Richmond Post is reporting the following activity for the month of March, 2014.
Troopers and Detectives issued a total of 1708 citations of which 240 were for speeding, 10 for no child restraint and 144 for no seatbelts. There were a total of 27 individuals arrested for driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol. Troopers issued 466 courtesy notices, and assisted 128 stranded motorists, while inspecting 1974 vehicles.
Richmond Post investigated 46 traffic collisions in the month of March.
Detectives and Troopers investigated 1104 complaints, opened 90 criminal cases, and made 241 criminal arrests.
