KSP, Richmond Post, Activity for July 2014

(Richmond, KY.) - Captain Greg Crockett, Post Commander of the Kentucky State Police, Richmond Post is reporting the following activity for the month of July, 2014.
Troopers and Detectives issued a total of 1278 citations of which 116 were for speeding, 10 for no child restraint and 119 for no seatbelts. There were a total of 16 individuals arrested for driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol. Troopers issued 401 courtesy notices, and assisted 82 stranded motorists, while inspecting 1322 vehicles.
Richmond Post investigated 62 traffic collisions in the month of July.
Detectives and Troopers investigated 1070 complaints, opened 60 criminal cases, and made 220 criminal arrests.
