KSP, Richmond Post, Activity for September 2014

(Richmond, KY) -- Captain Greg Crockett, Post Commander of the Kentucky State Police, Richmond Post is reporting the following activity for the month of September, 2014.
Troopers and Detectives issued a total of 1,379 citations of which 245 were for speeding, 11 for no child restraint and 109 for no seatbelts. There were a total of 13 individuals arrested for driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol. Troopers issued 320 courtesy notices, and assisted 63 stranded motorists, while inspecting 1,257 vehicles.
Richmond Post investigated 57 traffic collisions in the month of September.
Detectives and Troopers investigated 1,032 complaints, opened 89 criminal cases, and made 220 criminal arrests.
