KSP Investigates Home Invasion in Madison County

(Richmond, KY) - The Kentucky State Police, Richmond Post is investigating an armed home invasion that happened just before 1:00 a.m. this morning, on Lee Drive in Madison County.
The initial investigation alleges David D. Burgher, 35 years old of Richmond, and Christopher D. Chasteen, 31 years old of Richmond, broke into a residence while armed with a pistol. Once inside the home, both men were overtaken and physically restrained by the residents. Burgher and Chasteen suffered non-life threatening injuries and were transported to UK Hospital.
Burgher and Chasteen are charged with Burglary 1st Degree, and will be lodged in the Madison County Detention Center following their release from the hospital.
The investigation is ongoing by KSP Detective Jeremy Hamm. He was assisted at the scene by KSP Personnel, the Madison County Sheriff's Office, and Madison County EMS.
