Injury Collision in West Liberty

(Morehead, KY) - On January 31, 2014 at 1:13 p.m. Kentucky State Police Morehead received a call for service in reference to a two vehicle injury collision on Highway 460 West in West Liberty in front of the Liberty Mart gas station. Trooper Royce Collett, West Liberty Fire Department, Morgan County Rescue Squad and Morgan County EMS responded to the scene. Shonda Lemay, 37, of Orlando, KY was operating a 2000 Mitsubishi Montero Sport traveling westbound when she stopped and was attempting to turn into the Liberty Mart. Ms. Lemay was rear ended by a 2004 Hyundai Elantra operated by Andrew Lykins, 51, of Campton, KY. Ms. Fronie Lykins, 32, of Campton who was a passenger in Mr. Lykins vehicle and two juvenile children were treated by EMS and transported to Morgan County ARH Hospital in West Liberty. Another juvenile passenger traveling with Ms. Lemay was also treated by EMS and transported to ARH where they are all listed in stable condition. Drugs or alcohol are not believed to be a factor in the collision. The collision remains under investigation by Trooper Royce Collett.
