KSP make arrests on two indoor marijuana grow operations

(Van Lear, Ky.) - On Thursday February 27, 2014 Troopers and Detectives from Post 9 along with Detectives from DE/SI East, Executed a search warrant in the Van Lear community of Johnson County in relation to an investigation conducted by Det. Adam Hall. The investigation revealed an elaborate indoor grow operation with 155 marijuana plants growing inside. The marijuana plants had an approximate street value of over $300,000.00. Larry D. Conley of Van Lear, Ky. was arrested and charged with Cultivation of Marijuana over 5 plants or more and Trafficking in Marijuana. Conley was lodged in the Big Sandy Regional Detention Center. This incident remains under investigation by KSP Detective Adam Hall.
On Thursday February 27, 2014 as a continuation of ongoing investigations by KSP Detective Adam Hall a search was executed by Kentucky State Police Post 9 Criminal Interdiction Team in the South Mayo Trail community of Pike County. The search warrant resulted in the seizure of approximately 75 marijuana plants with an approximate street value of $150,000.00. One arrest was made in relation to this investigation. This case remains under investigation by Tpr. Zachary Bryson of the KSP Criminal Interdiction Team.
