Four Arrested in the Murder Investigation in Bell County Investigation

(Harlan, Ky.) – Detectives from Post 10 Harlan are continuing the investigation into the death of Debra K. Baker, 55, of Middlesboro. The lead investigator, Detective Bryan Johnson received a tip on Saturday, February 7, 2015 in reference to the case. After following up on the tip property from the residence has been recovered and four arrests have been made. Brenda Sue Miller was arrested and charged with murder and burglary 1st degree. Charles Gilbert jr, Chad Allen Love, and Varion Johnson have been arrested and charged with murder, burglary 1st degree, and possession of a handgun by a convicted felon. All subjects are from Barbourville and have been lodged at the Knox Co Detention center.

Post 10 murder investigation

(East Pineville, Ky.) – Detectives from Post 10 Harlan are still investigating into the death of Debra K Baker, 55, of Middlesboro. At this time Ms. Baker's body has been sent to the State Medical Examiner's Office in Frankfort for an autopsy. The case is still under investigation by KSP Det. Bryan Johnson. No arrest have been made at this time. No other details can be released.

Murder Investigation in Bell County

Date of News Release: 01/23/2015

(East Pineville, Ky.) – Kentucky State Police Post 10 in Harlan is currently on the scene of a murder investigation in the East Pineville community of Bell County. The scene is located on Old Bell High Road just off U.S. Highway 119 approximately 1.5 miles from the junction of U.S. 25E in Pineville.

Kentucky State Police received the call just after midnight. It was reported that a woman was found murdered at a residence. At this time, no other information is being released as the investigation is ongoing. Additional information will be released at a later time this morning.

The Bell County Sheriff's Office is assisting KSP Detectives Bryan Johnson and Jacob Wilson in this investigation.
