Methamphetamine Lab Arrest in Clay County

(LONDON, KY.) - On Wednesday, January 14, 2015 at approximately 3:43 PM, Trooper Josh Wilson assisted the Manchester Police Department on a robbery that occurred at Liquor Mart on HWY 80 in the city limits of Manchester in Clay County.
Upon arrival officers discovered that two males and a female had robbed the store and left the area operating a 1998 Ford Explorer. The surveillance video footage was viewed and a suspect was identified as Todd Ruth, 39, of Manchester. Further investigation revealed that Ruth had a family member living on Big Creek Road in Clay County. At approximately 6:20 PM, Trooper Wilson along with Officers from Manchester Police Department arrived at the residence and located the Ford Explorer in the driveway with all three suspects inside.
After all three suspects were removed from the vehicle, Trooper Wilson located an active Methamphetamine Lab along with items used to manufacture methamphetamine inside the vehicle.
Arrested at the scene was:
- Todd Ruth, 39, of Manchester and charged with Manufacturing Methamphetamine 2nd Offense, Persistent Felony Offender and Resisting Arrest.
- Robert C. Young, 35, of Manchester and charged with Manufacturing Methamphetamine 1st Offense, Persistent Felony Offender and Resisting Arrest.
- Sandra Miller, 42, of Delphia, KY and charged with Manufacturing Methamphetamine 1st Offense and Resisting Arrest.
All three were lodged in the Clay County Detention Center. The Manchester Police Department is in charge of the Robbery investigation.
Trooper Wilson continues the investigation and was assisted at the scene by officers with the Manchester Police Department and the Clay County Sheriff's Office.
