Update: 6 People Killed in a Collision on KY90 in Wayne County

Monticello, KY - Investigation has determined that a 1999 Chrysler Cirrus passenger car with 6 occupants was traveling westbound on KY HWY 90. The passenger car for some unknown reason crossed the center lane and struck a 2001 Dodge Pickup that was traveling eastbound on KY HWY 90. Both occupants of the dodge pickup were transported to local hospitals for treatment. All 6 occupants of the Chrysler 2 adults and 4 children were pronounced dead at the scene by the Wayne County Coroner. The investigation continues at this time.

6 People Killed in a Collision on KY90 in Wayne County

Monticello, KY - On May 1st, 2015 at approximately 5:50PM, Officers with the Kentucky State Police responded to a vehicle collision located on KY90, about 3 1/2 miles east of Monticello in Wayne County.
At this time, Officers are reconstructing a two vehicle collision in which a passenger car and pickup truck have collided. 3 adults and 3 children are dead at the scene and 2 adults have been transported to the hospital for medical care.
Any media personnel responding to the scene may take photo and video footage from OUTSIDE THE PERIMETER AREA. NO PERSONAL INTERVIEWS will be given at the scene.
A second and more detailed release with further information will be sent to media agencies when this information is available. No identities of the victims will be released at this time.
