Kentucky State Police Pursuits Leads to Arrests

(Frankfort, KY) - On Thursday, April 23, 2015 at approximately 07:35 pm, Kentucky State Police conducted a traffic safety checkpoint on the Fayette/Bourbon County line on Bryant Station Road.
Units stopped a Green 2002 Jaguar, being driving by Anthony Dixon, age 21, of Lebanon, KY. While Dixon was being temporarily detained awaiting a citation for minor traffic offenses, he fled the scene at a high rate of speed. Kentucky State Police pursued the Jaguar to Bryant Station Road and Briar Hill. Dixon lost control, causing the vehicle to flip and catch fire. Dixon, a female passenger, Nancy L Reed, age 25, of Georgetown, KY and a juvenile passenger, were transported to University of Kentucky Hospital for non-life threatening injuries.
Anthony Dixon is being charged with Wanton Endangerment 1st (5 Counts), Fleeing and Evading 1st, Carrying a Concealed and Deadly Weapon, and various traffic violations. Nancy Reed is being charged on a Fayette County Warrant for Criminal Mischief 3rd. Both subjects will be lodged in the Fayette County Detention Center.
Kentucky State Police were assisted at the scene by Lexington Metro Police Department, and Lexington Fire/EMS.
