Morgantown Juvenile Charged with Various Charges

(Henderson, KY) - On Thursday September 3, 2015 at approximately 10:20 AM Kentucky State Police Post 16 Henderson received a call in reference to a female subject, found by a utility company, unresponsive in a ditch on KY2713 near the Butler County line in Ohio County, KY. Upon arrival Troopers located a juvenile female in medical distress lying in the ditch on the side of the road.
During the course of the contact with her it was determined that the female juvenile was dropped off at this location in a black 2010 Dodge Ram pickup truck, operated by another juvenile male. The female juvenile was transported by Ohio County EMS to Bowling Green Medical Center for a non-life threatening medical condition.
Upon further investigation, Troopers later determined the vehicle that the juvenile male was operating had been reported stolen to the Barren County Sheriff's Office. Troopers located the vehicle at approximately 2:00PM in the 100 block of Dexterville-Oak Ridge Road in Butler County and conducted a traffic stop on the stolen vehicle. The operator, identified as Cody J. Swift of Morgantown, KY was arrested without incident, transported, and lodged at the Butler County Detention Center on the above listed charges. The male juvenile was riding as a passenger in the vehicle at the time of the stop; however he was also arrested without incident and was charged with Wanton Endangerment 1st Degree, Tampering with Physical Evidence and Drug Paraphernalia – Buy/Possess as a result of the initial investigation. The juvenile was transported and lodged at the Warren County Juvenile Detention Center in Bowling Green, KY.
