BEAVER DAM, KY. - On Saturday, December 19, 2015, the Kentucky State Police Professional Association (KSPPA) District 16 conducted its annual "Shop with a Trooper" program. This program is designed to assist children in need during the Christmas season.

Donation totals were over $14,000. Each child were allocated roughly $70. The shopping lists consisted of several items including coats, pants, shirts, shoes, hats, gloves, and toys.

The Kentucky State Police would like to thank ALL of those who contributed to this much needed program including Ashby Trucking of Beaver Dam, KSPPA, Wal-Mart and all those who gave anonymous donations. Also, a special thanks to Ohio Sheriff's Deputy Jerry Critchelow and KSPPA District 16 Representative Blake Smith for their integral role in the fund raising efforts.
