Injury Collision on Central Road in Graves County

(Hickory, Ky.) - Kentucky State Police received a 911 call of a vehicle collision on Central Road. The investigation has revealed that Mr. Roger Papierski, driver of Unit 1, had been traveling north on Central Road when he topped a hill and lost control of the vehicle. The vehicle left the roadway, striking a culvert, over turned and then struck a utility pole coming to rest on its wheels. It is unknown at this time what caused the driver to loss control. Mayfield/Graves County EMS transported Mr. Papierski to Jackson Purchase Medical Center with minor injuries.

West Ky Rural Electric was called to the scene to examine the damage to the utility pole, which was split in half. It is unknown at this time if any local residences lost power because of this collision.

Investigation is being conducted by Trooper Clinton Bale, who was assisted by Trooper Anthony Harrison U/746, Graves County Sheriff's Deputy Richard Edwards, and Mayfield/Graves County EMS.
