KSP post 1 says goodbye to 3 retiring Employees

(Hickory, KY) -- The Kentucky State Police Post 1 recently honored three employees as they prepare to retire July 31, 2015. Detective Donald Bowman, Arson Investigator Frank Gresham and Administrative Specialist II Debbie Flowers were honored on July 23, 2015.

Detective Bowman began his career with the Kentucky State Police in July, 2005. After graduating from the Kentucky State Police Academy in December, 2005 he was assigned to the Mayfield Post. Detective Bowman has worked at Post 1 as both a Trooper and Detective.

Detective Bowman received an Official Letter of Commendation's from the State Police Commissioner, during his career. Detective Bowman was the Post 1 Detective of the year in 2010 and 2013. Prior to joining the Kentucky State Police Detective Bowman worked for the Murray Police Department from 1995-2005 where he was a patrolman, K9 handler, and detective. While working for Murray Police Department, Bowman was recognized as Patrolman of the Year and detective of the Year.

Arson Investigator Frank Gresham began his career with the Kentucky State Police in May, 2000 and was assigned to the Elizabethtown Post.

Throughout his career he has had numerous assignments within the agency:

  • 2000-2001 Arson Investigator, Post 4, Elizabethtown
  • 2001-2004 Arson Investigator, Post 2, Madisonville
  • 2004-2015 Arson Investigator, Post 1, Mayfield

Prior to joining the Kentucky State Police Investigator Gresham began his career with the Lyon County Police in September, 1987 thru 1997. At that time he left The County Police at the rank of Lieutenant and was employed as a Deputy in March of 1999 with the Crittenden County Sheriff’s Office. He currently resides in Lyon County.

Administrative Specialist II Debbie Flowers began her career with the Kentucky State Police in October, 2007. Flowers received the Civilian of the Year for Post 1, 2008, 2010, and again in 2015. Prior to working for the Kentucky State Police Flowers worked for the City of Mayfield. She has been married to her husband Rick for 40 years and has 4 children and 10 grandchildren.
