Single Vehicle Injury Collision On US 431

Dunmor, KY (Muhlenberg County) - The Kentucky State Police investigated a single-vehicle, injury collision that occurred on US 431, approximately one mile north of Dunmor, on Monday, February 9, at 7:15 a.m.

The preliminary investigation revealed that Zaleigh Jordan, 17, of Beechmont, was operating a 2006 Toyota Tacoma southbound on US 431 when the passenger side tires dropped off the roadway. Ms. Jordan overcorrected and lost control of the vehicle. The vehicle crossed the centerline, entered the northbound lane and exited the roadway. The vehicle struck two trees before coming to rest off the roadway.

Ms. Jordan, who was wearing a seatbelt, was transported via a private vehicle to Multicare in Madisonville for treatment. There were no passengers involved.

Trooper First Class Jerry Knight investigated the collision. Sergeant Matt Jordan assisted at the scene.
