Single-Vehicle Injury Collision Pennyrile Parkway

Crofton, Ky (Christian County) - The Kentucky State Police investigated a single-vehicle, injury collision that occurred on the Pennyrile Parkway at the 19 mile marker, approximately three miles south of Crofton, on Friday, June 26, 2015, at 5:35 p.m.

The preliminary investigation revealed that Aaron Shively, 17 of Evansville, IN, was operating a 2004 Chevrolet Tahoe southbound on Pennyrile Parkway when he lost control of his vehicle. The vehicle struck a guardrail and overturned. The vehicle was also occupied by Linda King, 64, of Evansville, IN and Shelby Shively, 12, also of Evansville, IN.

Mr. Shively was transported via ambulance to Jennie Stuart Medical Center in Hopkinsville for treatment. He was wearing a seatbelt.

Ms. King was transported via ambulance to Jennie Stuart Medical Center in Hopkinsville for treatment. It is unknown whether she was wearing a seatbelt.

Trooper Billy Over investigated the collision. The Crofton Volunteer Fire Department, Christian County Sheriff's Office and Christian County EMS assisted at the scene.
