Minor Injury Collision Involving Recreational Vehicle on KY 139 South

Princeton, KY (Caldwell County) - The Kentucky State Police investigated a single-vehicle, minor-injury collision that occurred on KY 139 South, on Thursday, July 9, at 12:11 p.m.

The preliminary investigation revealed that Terris Sharp, 67, Shepherdsville, KY, was operating a 1992 Fleetwood recreational vehicle northbound on KY 139 South. As he entered a sharp curve, he lost control of the vehicle. The passenger side tires dropped off the northbound shoulder of the roadway into a ditch. The vehicle traveled along the ditch for approximately 125 feet before coming to rest, partially in the roadway.

One passenger, Lynne Davenport, 69, Louisville, KY, was treated at the scene for minor injuries by Caldwell County EMS. Mr. Sharp and the other passengers, Natalie Sharp (wife), 62, and Evelyen Pitt, 85, Mt. Washington, KY, were not injured. The Sharps were wearing seatbelts. The other two passengers were sleeping when the collision occurred and were not restrained.

Trooper Ben Sawyer investigated the collision. The Caldwell County Sheriff's Department, the Princeton Fire Department and Caldwell County EMS assisted at the scene.
