Three Vehicle Injury on Interstate 24 86mm

Hopkinsville, KY (Christian County) - The Kentucky State Police investigated a three vehicle injury collision that occurred on Interstate 24 around the 86 mile marker, on Thursday July 30, 2015 around 03:45 p.m.

The preliminary investigation revealed that Mr. Kyle Foster, 22 years old of Paducah, Kentucky was operating a 1999 Jeep Wrangler traveling westbound on Interstate 24. Mrs. Elaine Morgan 55 years old and her daughter Megan Dee 19 years old of Enoree, South Carolina were traveling in a 2005 Kia Sedona westbound on I-24.

Mr. Alfredo Montoya, 55 years old of Baja, California was operating a 2015 Freightliner truck without a trailer, westbound on I-24.

At around the 86 mile marker Mrs. Morgan and Mr. Montoya were stopped on the roadway due to heavy traffic. Mr. Foster did not notice that the traffic had come to a stop and impacted Mrs. Morgan at the rear of her vehicle causing her to impact the rear of Mr. Montoya’s truck. All were wearing their seatbelts. Miss Megan Dee Morgan was transported to Jennie Stuart Hospital by Christian County EMS.

KSP SGT Ayers, Oak Grove Fire, and the Christian County Sheriff assisted at the scene.
