Single-Vehicle Fatality Collision On US 641

Marion, KY (Crittenden County) - The Kentucky State Police is investigating a single-vehicle, fatality collision that occurred on US 641, approximately two miles south of Marion, on Saturday, August 1, at 11:15 p.m.

The preliminary investigation revealed that Bobby D. Ladd, 36, Princeton, KY, was operating a 2014 Ice Bear Hawk 150 Motor Trike southbound on US 641 when he lost control. The trike exited the right shoulder of the roadway and entered a ditch where it traveled for approximately 87 feet before coming to rest. Mr. Ladd was ejected from the trike.

Mr. Ladd was pronounced dead at the scene by the Crittenden County Coroner's Office. He was not wearing a helmet.

Trooper Eric Browning is investigating the collision. The Crittenden County Sheriff's Department, Crittenden County EMS, and the Crittenden County Coroner's Office assisted at the scene.
