Sebree Man Charged with Sexual Abuse 1st Degree

Sebree, KY (Webster County) - The Kentucky State Police has charged a Sebree man with Sexual Abuse 1st Degree after conducting an investigation.
On Saturday, September 12, 2015, at approximately 10:52 a.m., Trooper Bob Winters was dispatched to a residence in Sebree in reference to a sexual assault complaint. The adult, female victim alleged that on the previous evening, Friday, September 11, Webster County Constable Dennis Shelton stopped by her residence around 10 p.m. According to the victim, Constable Shelton advised her that he had received a report of suspicious subjects around her home. He requested that she accompany him outside while he attempted to locate them. While outside, the victim alleged that Shelton forcibly reached under her shirt and touched her chest. He also exposed himself to her.
On Saturday, September 12, at approximately 3:25 p.m., Trooper Winters arrested Dennis A. Shelton, 51, Sebree, at a residence on Hamilton Drive in Hanson. Mr. Shelton was charged with Sexual Abuse 1st Degree (D Felony) and lodged in the Webster County Jail.
