KSP Post 2 Welcomes New Commander

Madisonville, KY - On September 1, 2015, the Kentucky State Police Post 2 Madisonville welcomed Lyon County native Brent White as its new commander. Captain White is a 17-year veteran of the KSP and has held several assignments within the agency:

  • 1998 - 2004 Trooper, Post 2 Madisonville
  • 2004 - 2005 Field Sergeant, Post 2 Madisonville
  • 2005 - 2006 Detective Sergeant, Post 1 Mayfield
  • 2006 - 2015 Lieutenant, Post 1 Mayfield

Captain White stated, "I am humbly honored to return and serve the Madisonville Post where I started my KSP career, and I am looking forward to the challenges that lie ahead. It is the agency"s mission to be responsive to the public"s needs and be a partner to the communities we serve."

Captain White was officially promoted at a ceremony in Lexington on September 30th. He currently resides in Eddyville with his wife and two children.

The Madisonville Post serves the following counties: Caldwell, Christian, Crittenden, Hopkins, Muhlenberg, Todd, and Webster.
