Two-Vehicle Injury Collision on the US HWY 431 South

Penrod, KY (Muhlenberg County) - The Kentucky State Police investigated a two-vehicle, injury collision that occurred at the Twin Bridges on US HWY 431 South in Penrod, on Tuesday, October 13, 2015, at 04:00 p.m.

The preliminary investigation revealed that Jeffrey Lamm, 45, of Rockport, IN was operating a 2000 Freightliner southbound on US HWY 431 South when his semi-truck and another semi-truck collided. The collision caused the mirror of Mr. Lamm's vehicle to shatter which struck Mr. Lamm. Mr. Lamm's vehicle came to rest in the roadway. The other Semi Truck failed to stop and was never located.

Mr. Lamm was wearing a seat belt and was transported via ambulance to the Muhlenberg Community Hospital where he was treated for his injuries.

Trooper Jacob Fortney investigated the collision and was assisted by Trooper Curtis Crick. The Dunmor Fire Department and Muhlenberg County EMS assisted at the scene.
