Road Rage Incident on I-65 Leads to Shot Fired

(Bowling Green, KY) - The Kentucky State Police Post 3 Bowling Green received a call from someone reporting being shot at on Interstate 65. The incident occurred on Monday, November 2, 2015 at approx. 8:35 am at the 27 MM Northbound on Interstate 65.
The preliminary investigation indicated that the caller stated that he was operating a 2004 Chevrolet Blazer and was traveling northbound when he accidentally cut off another northbound vehicle. The operator of a silver or gray newer model Ford SUV began a confrontation with the caller for a short distance where he then brandished a handgun and fired a shot at them. The caller's vehicle was struck with a round in the passenger's side rear door, but none of the five occupants were injured. The shooter then exited off of the Interstate at the 28 MM exit where officers attempted to locate him.
The only information on the shooter was that he was a black male in a hat with a scar on his cheek and he was driving a silver or gray newer model Ford SUV. If anyone has information in reference to this incident please call the KSP Post 3 Bowling Green at (270)782-2010.
