Anonymous Tip Leads to Large Seizure

(Bedford, KY) - On Friday, (02/13/2015) Kentucky State Police Post 5 received an anonymous tip in reference to possible drug activity at 76 Kenlee Drive. Upon arrival, Troopers made contact with the home owner, James Singleton (53). During the subsequent search of the residence, $15,275.00 in cash, approximately 2.5 pounds of marijuana, 528 pseudoephedrine tablets, items used in the cultivation of marijuana, illegal drug paraphernalia, and other narcotics were located. James Singleton was arrested for possession of a firearm and handgun by a convicted felon, trafficking in marijuana over 8 ounces 1st offense, possession of a controlled substance 3rd degree, possession of marijuana, possession of paraphernalia, and unlawful possession of a meth precursor. The accused was lodged in the Carroll County Detention Center.

Trooper Donald McCormick is leading the ongoing investigation. Trooper McCormick was assisted by Troopers Chad Johnson, Leland Ferris, Michael Gonterman, James Phelps, Tyler Hunter, Ryan Gosser, K-9 Grizz, and Detective Josh Noble.
