KSP Investigates Fatal Collision in Nicholas County

(Dry Ridge, Ky.) - The Kentucky State Police in Dry Ridge received a call from Nicholas County Dispatch of a two vehicle fatal collision at 5:15 a.m. on U.S. 68. At this time the cause of the collision is still under investigation and fog is believed to be a factor. The collision is being reconstructed by Trooper Ryan Roessler. No names are being released at this time pending notification of next of kin. Two subjects have been transported to University of Kentucky Medical Center for their injuries. The passenger of one of the vehicles has been pronounced deceased at the scene by Nicholas County Coroner. KSP is being assisted at the scene by Nicholas County EMS, Nicholas County Sheriff’s Office and Nicholas County Fire Department. The collision remains under investigation by Trooper Ryan Roessler and Trooper Chris Marcum.
