KSP Post 8 Drug Arrest

(Campton, KY) - On January 22, 2015 Kentucky State Police in Morehead was contacted by the Wolfe County Sheriff's Department for assistance in serving indictment warrant on Kevin and Tammy McVey at their residence on KY 191 in Campton. Both subjects were at the residence, with two young children, and placed into custody. Kentucky Probation and Parole assisted with the apprehension and later searched the residence. During the search of the residence a small container of suspected methamphetamine, a morphine pill, marijuana and drug paraphernalia were discovered in the subjects bedroom. Both subjects were arrested and charged with the following: Possession of Controlled Substance First Degree, First Offense (Methamphetamine), Possession of Controlled Substance First Degree, First Offense (Drug Unspecified), Possession of Marijuana, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and Wanton Endangerment First Degree. This case remains under investigation by Trooper First Class Bret Kirkland.
