Injury Collision on KY 11 in Powell County

(Powell County, KY) - On Monday, June 08, 2015 at 5:37 PM, Kentucky State Police in Morehead received a call of an injury accident on KY11 at the Powell and Wolfe County line, in Powell County. Trooper Luke Goodwin, Powell County EMS, Powell County Rescue Squad and the Powell County Sheriff's Department responded to the scene. Upon investigation it was determined Jason D. Branham, 25, of Mt. Sterling was operating a red Hyundai Elantra, traveling west on KY 11 when he lost control of the vehicle. Mr. Branham's vehicle crossed the center line into the east bound lane. Tiffany McDaniels, 24, of Booneville, KY was traveling east operating a white Nissan Maxima, when she exited out of a curve and was unable to avoid collision with Mr. Branham. Ms. McDaniels and passengers, John and Faith Gibson were transported to the University of Kentucky Hospital in Lexington, where they are listed in stable condition. Jason and passenger, James Branham, were also transported to University of Kentucky Hospital, where they are listed in stable condition. Anthony Branham was transported to Clark Regional Hospital in Winchester, where he was treated and released. The collision remains under investigation by Trooper Luke Goodwin.
