ATV Collision on KY 7 in Elliott County

(Morehead, KY) - On Sunday, August 23, 2015 at 6:08 p.m. Morehead State Police received a call for assistance in regard to an injury collision in Elliott County. Trooper Charles Bolin and Elliott County EMS responded to KY 7 in Sandy Hook. Upon investigation Mr. Chase Rice, 22, of Sandy Hook was traveling north on KY 7 operating a 1999, Honda EX, when Sherry Branham, 53, of Sandy Hook made a left turn into a parking lot. Mr. Rice was unable to stop his vehicle and struck Mrs. Branham's vehicle. Mr. Rice was ejected from the vehicle and was not wearing a helmet. Mr. Rice was air lifted to Cabell Huntington Hospital where he is listed in critical but stable condition. Mrs. Branham was transported to Morgan County ARH Hospital with minor injuries. The investigation remains under investigation by Trooper Charles Bolin.
