Counterfeit Arrest in Salt Lick, Kentucky

(Salt Lick, KY) - On Thursday, September 24, 2015 at 2:20 p.m. Kentucky State Police Post 8 Morehead executed a search warrant at the residence of Daniel L. Rowe located at 27 Bait Shop Road in Salt Lick, Kentucky. After a joint investigation with the Morehead Police Department and the Bath County Sheriff’s Office into an area counterfeiting operation Post 8 Troopers located 127 counterfeit bills totaling in a value of $2,048.00 along with an EBT card belonging to another person not living at the residence. Daniel L. Rowe, age 41 of Salt Lick, was charged with 127 counts of Criminal Possession of a Forged Instrument 1st Degree, Possession of a Forgery Device and Knowingly Fraudulently Use ID Card or Electronic Code for Benefits. Mariah K. Rowe, age 18 of Salt Lick, was charged with 127 counts of Criminal Possession of a Forged Instrument 1st Degree and Possession of a Forgery Device. Daniel L. Rowe and Mariah K. Rowe were lodged in the Montgomery Regional Detention Center in Mt. Sterling, Kentucky. The Morehead Post of the Kentucky State Police ask that area businesses and citizens in Rowan, Bath, Montgomery, and Carter counties contact the Morehead Post at (606) 784-4127 if they come in contact with any counterfeit money.
