KSP Cram The Cruiser Event at Morehead Kroger

(Morehead, KY) – The Kentucky State Police, in conjunction with the Morehead Kroger and Pepsi, will be collecting food for the sixth annual Cram The Cruiser campaign at Kroger on Sunday December 6th. The collection times will be from 10:00 a.m., until 3:00 p.m., in front of Kroger. Pepsi will be providing free refreshments and Santa will be at the event starting at 1:00.
Cram The Cruiser is an annual food drive to assist needy families in the local posts and regions throughout the state. Since the inception of the Cram The Cruiser food drive KSP has donated over 500,000 pounds of food to shelters, food banks and churches across the Commonwealth.
Suggested non-perishable items include canned fruit and vegetables, canned meat, macaroni and cheese, cereal, peanut butter, jelly, spaghetti and chili sauce, brownie or cake mixes, coffee, water, powdered milk and juices.
Anyone wanting to make a donation can purchase or drop food off at Kroger during the collection times. The campaign continues through December 11 and additional drop off locations are at KSP Post 8 in Morehead, as well as the Kroger stores in Stanton and Mt. Sterling.
