KSP Investigates Robbery in Stanville

(Stanville, Ky.) -- On Tuesday, February 24, 2015, just before noon, Post 9 Pikeville received a 911 call of an armed robbery at the Stanville Subway in Floyd County. Troopers responded to the scene and determined that an unidentified male entered the restaurant demanding money. An employee retrieved an undisclosed amount of money, giving it to the male, before he fled the scene.
The initial investigation at the scene indicates that suspect was wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt, blue jeans, and a gray mask covering his face. No injuries occurred as a result of the robbery.
The Kentucky State Police is asking the public for any information relating to this case, and can call the Kentucky State Police Post 09 at (606) 433-7711. Callers can remain anonymous.
