Kentucky State Police Investigate Murder

Georgetown, Ky. (August 27, 2016) - On Saturday August 27, around 4:46am Scott County Sheriff Deputies were dispatched to a residence for a shooting. Upon arrival a juvenile was found deceased within the residence from an apparent gunshot wound. A 911 caller provided a description of the suspect vehicle leaving the scene.
Georgetown Police Officers located the suspect vehicle and attempted a traffic stop. A vehicle pursuit ensued and the suspect was apprehended at the Capital Mobile Home Park in Franklin County.
Upon investigation it was determined Michael K. Davidson, 27, of Georgetown discharged a firearm into a residence, causing the death of a juvenile.
Michael Davidson has been charged with Murder. Additional charges are forthcoming.
The investigation is ongoing by the Kentucky State Police. Kentucky State Police was assisted by the Scott County Sheriff's Office, Georgetown PD, Franklin County Sheriff's Office, Scott County Coroner, and Scott County Fire and EMS.
