KSP Searching for Missing Foster Child in Leslie County

Hazard, KY (August 5, 2016) - Troopers with Kentucky State Police Post 13 in Hazard are asking for public assistance in locating a missing 14 year-old juvenile in Leslie County. KSP Post 13 received a call on Thursday afternoon at around 5:17 p.m., from Leslie EOC, advising of a runaway foster child. The child left a residence in the Asher community just hours after being placed in a foster home.
Trooper Kevin Guier contacted the foster family members at the residence, then conducted a search of the immediate area but was not able to locate him. The missing juvenile, Jason Baker, is a white male. He is approximately 5 feet 6 inches tall, and weighs 160 pounds. Jason Baker was last seen wearing black ball shorts, a black shirt, black shoes, and a red bandana. He was also carrying a back pack.
The search for Jason Baker is continuing at this time. Investigators request that anyone with information concerning the location of Jason Baker to contact KSP Post 13 at 606-435-6069. This incident remains under investigation by Trooper Kevin Guier.
