KSP Arrest Dawson Springs Man After Shooting Girlfriend

Dawson Springs, KY (December 13, 2016) – KSP are currently investigating a domestic violence call that resulted in a shooting. Troopers and Detectives responded to an E. Hall Street address in Dawson Springs at approximately 12:30 a.m. this morning.

Preliminary investigation revealed that Antony Petrakis, 36, Dawson Springs had been in a verbal argument with his girlfriend, Holly Ruby, 35, Eddyville. During the course of the argument, Mr. Petrakis fired a shot from a handgun striking Ms. Ruby. Ms. Ruby was treated and released by the Caldwell County Emergency Department.

Antony Petrakis was arrested and charged with Assault 1st Degree. He is lodged in the Hopkins County Detention Center.

The investigation is ongoing by Det. Scott Smith. KSP was assisted by the Dawson Springs Police Department and the Hopkins County Sheriff Department.
