One Flown From Injury Collision on Oil Well Road

(Glasgow, KY) - The Kentucky State Police Post 3 Bowling Green responded to a single vehicle injury collision on Friday, January 1, 2016 in the 2100 block of Oil Well Road in Barren County that occurred at approx. 8:37 pm.
The preliminary investigation indicated that Brandon Netherton (26) of Glasgow was operating a 2007 Chevrolet passenger car and was traveling southbound on Oil Well Road when he stated that he failed to negotiate a curve and went off the the roadway and the vehicle overturned.
Mr. Netherton was transported from the scene by the Barren-Metcalfe EMS to T.J. Samson Community Hospital where he was treated and released for treatment of his injuries. His passenger, Jeremy Terry (30) of Glasgow, was ejected in the collision and was flown by helicopter from the scene by Air Methods to the University of Louisville Hospital where he is listed in critical, but stable, condition. Neither occupants were wearing seatbelts at the time of the collision and alcohol is believed to be a contributing factor.
The investigation is still ongoing and being conducted by Trooper Randy Chambers. He was assisted on the scene by Trooper Graham Rutherford, Barren County Sheriff's Department, Barren-Metcalfe EMS, Air Methods, and the Haywood Fire Department.
