Update: Indictment and Arrest in Shooting Investigation on Possum Trot Road

(Hardyville, KY) - The Kentucky State Police Post 3 Bowling Green responded on October 14, 2015 to a call of a shooting that had taken place at a residence on Possum Trot Road in Hart County that resulted in Tyler Stith (20) of Hardyville being transported to the University of Louisville Hospital where he received treatment for a gunshot wound to the chest.

The investigation by Detectives at KSP Post 3 led to a presentation to the Hart County Grand Jury today where an Indictment Warrant was issued for James Slover (20) of Hardyville charging him with Assault 1st Degree, Burglary 1st Degree, and Persistent Felony Offender 1st Degree.

Slover was arrested today (02/02/2016) for the Indictment Warrant and lodged in the Hart County Jail.

The investigation is still ongoing and being led by Detective Jeremy Hodges. No other information is available for release at this time. Now that this case is pending trial in Hart County Circuit Court, the Kentucky State Police will have no further public comment about the investigation. Any further inquiries for information should be directed to the Hart County Commonwealth Attorney's Office.

Shooting Investigation on Possum Trot Road in Hart County

(Hardyville, KY) - The Kentucky State Police Post 3 Bowling Green is currently on scene of a report of a gunshot victim on Possum Trot Road in Hart County.

Post received a call from a family member advising they had found their son at his residence and that he had been shot. Troopers arrived on scene and found a 20 year old male with a gunshot wound to the chest.

The male was airlifted from the scene and taken to the University of Louisville Hospital where he is in critical condition.

The investigation is still ongoing and being led by the Kentucky State Police Post 3 Bowling Green Detectives. No other information is available for release at this time.
