Fatal Collision on Holland Road in Allen County

(Scottsville, KY) - The Kentucky State Police Post 3 Bowling Green responded to a single vehicle injury collision last night (02/29/16) at approx. 8:41 pm in the 2800 block of Holland Road in Allen County that resulted in the death of the passenger of the vehicle.
The preliminary investigation indicated that David Harrison (39) of Scottsville was operating a 1999 Nissan passenger car and was traveling eastbound on KY 100 Holland Road when he failed to negotiate a curve and went off the right side of the roadway and struck a tree on the passenger side of the vehicle.
Ms. Harrison was transported from the scene by the Allen County EMS where he was then transferred to AirEvac and flown to Tristar Skyline Medical Center and is currently listed in critical condition.
The passenger, Joshua Jenkins (35) of Scottsville, was transported by Allen County EMS to the Medical Center in Scottsville where he was pronounced deceased by the Allen County Coroner's Office.
The investigation is still ongoing and being conducted by Trooper Brian Gann. He was assisted on the scene by Troopers Shae Foley and Storm Stevens, the Allen County Sheriff's Office, Allen County EMS, Allen County Coroner's Office, Scottsville Fire Department, and AirEvac. It does appear that alcohol was involved but no further information can be released at this time.
