Traffic Stop Leads to Stolen Vehicle Recovery and Two Arrested

(Munfordville, KY) - Today at approx. 10:25 am Trooper First Class Johnathan McChesney with the Kentucky State Police Post 3 Bowling Green observed a vehicle that was speeding and he initiated a traffic stop in the 5000 block of Hammonsville Road north of Munfordville. The vehicle also was found to have a registration plate displayed that did not belong to the vehicle. Upon further investigation it was determined that the vehicle, a 1995 Ford F-150, was entered stolen in December from the Louisville area.
The operator, Dillion Warren (20) of Summersville, was arrested and charged with Receiving Stolen Property Under $10,000, Speeding, and other various traffic related offenses. It was also discovered that he had outstanding warrants from Hart County charging him with the offenses of Burglary 2nd Degree, Theft by Unlawful Taking Under $10,000, and Theft by Unlawful Taking Under $500. In addition to the original charges, he was also served with the warrants and lodged in the Hart County Jail.
A female passenger, Candi McKinney (23) of Hardyville, was also arrested and charged with Giving Officer False Name by Trooper First Class Ronnie Reynolds who was assisting on the traffic stop. When her true identity was learned it was discovered that she also had an outstanding warrant out of Marion County charging her with the offense of Possession of Controlled Substance 1st Degree 1st Offense (Methamphetamine) and No Tail Lights. This warrant was served and she was also lodged in the Hart County Jail.
