Vehicle versus Train Injury Collision on KY 240

(Woodburn, KY) - The Kentucky State Police Post 3 Bowling Green responded to a vehicle versus a train injury collision today in the limits of Woodburn on KY 240 Woodburn Allen Springs Road in Warren County that occurred at approx. 8:49 am.

The preliminary investigation indicated that Chelsey Beller (22) of Bowling Green was operating a 2010 Nissan passenger car and was traveling westbound on Woodburn Allen Springs Road when she failed to yield at the rail road crossing and was struck in the passenger side of her vehicle by a southbound CSX train. It was determined in the preliminary investigation that the lights at the crossing were functional.

Ms. Beller was transported from the scene by the Medical Center EMS to the Medical Center of Bowling Green where she was later taken to the Vanderbilt University Medical Center for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.

The investigation is still ongoing and being conducted by Trooper Larry Davis. He was assisted on the scene by the Warren County Sheriff's Department, the Medical Center EMS, and Woodburn Fire Department.
