Injury Collision on Interstate 65 Involving a Motorcycle

(Bowling Green, KY) - The Kentucky State Police Post 3 Bowling Green responded to a single vehicle injury collision pn 05/13/2016 at approx. 1:09 pm on Interstate 65 northbound at the 27 mile marker in Warren County.

The preliminary investigation indicated that Brandon Blackburn (30) of Bowling Green was operating a 2012 Harley Davidson motorcycle and was traveling northbound on Interstate 65 when he stated that he struck something and lost control. After losing control he laid the motorcycle down in the northbound lanes before coming to a stop.

Mr. Blackburn was transported from the scene by the Medical Center EMS to the Medical Center in Bowling Green but will be flown by helicopter to TriStar Skyline Medical Center in Nashville for non-life threatening injuries.

The investigation is still ongoing and being conducted by Trooper Tomie Walters. He was assisted on the scene by Trooper Kevin Mayfield, Medical Center EMS, and the Bowling Green Fire Department.
