Two Dead After Breckenridge County Collision

(IRVINGTON, KY.) - Kentucky State Police Post 4 in Elizabethtown worked a double fatality collision in the area of Sinking Creek Hill on U.S. 60 in Breckenridge County on Tuesday evening. On July 5, 2016 at approximately 7:05 P.M. EDST, Thomas Orr (40) of Guston was traveling in a 2004 Ford F-150 West on U.S. 60. Joyce Basham (74) along with a passenger Lisa Daugherty (50) both of Hardinsburg was traveling East on U.S. 60 in a 2002 Buick Park Avenue. For unknown reasons the Ford truck driven by Mr. Orr crossed the center line causing both vehicles to collide head-on. Joyce Basham and Lisa Daugherty were both pronounced dead at the scene by the Breckenridge County Coroner's Office. Thomas Orr suffered serious injuries and was transported to University of Louisville Hospital. The accident is still under investigation by Trooper Dewan Kelly.
