Two Killed in Carroll County Crash

(Carrollton, KY) - Two people were killed and another seriously injured during the early morning hours of Wednesday May 11th, in a single vehicle collision on Interstate 71 in Carroll County.
Kentucky State Police dispatchers received a call at 1:58 a.m. Wednesday morning of a single vehicle collision on I-71 at the 39 mile marker northbound. Preliminary investigation revealed a vehicle operated by Rebecca Horsley, 21 of Columbus Ohio, travelled north on I-71 when it left the right side of the road and overturned. Ashton Hepburn, 19 of New Carlisle, Ohio, and Nikki Vicory, 29 of Lakeview, Ohio were not wearing their seat belts and were ejected from the vehicle.
Horsley was transported from the scene by Carroll County EMS to Carroll County Hospital before being transported by Air Methods to University of Cincinnati Hospital. The Carroll County Coroner responded to the scene and declared Hepburn and Vicory deceased.
Kentucky State Police is leading the ongoing investigation and reconstruction along with assistance from Carroll County EMS, Carroll County Coroner's Office, West Side Fire Department, Carrollton Police Department, and Air Methods.
