Kentucky State Police Investigating Hit and Run Fatal in Milton

MILTON Ky. (December 8, 2016) – On Thursday December 8th, 2016 at 7:40 a.m. Dispatchers with Kentucky State Police Post 5 Campbellsburg received a call from a motorist stating a female had been struck by a vehicle and was still laying in the roadway.
Kentucky State Police responded to the scene and were assisted by the Trimble County Sheriff’s Department, Milton Fire and Rescue, and Trimble County EMS. The female subject was pronounced deceased at the scene by the Trimble County Coroner’s Office.
The identity of the female pedestrian remains unknown at this time. The Kentucky State Police is conducting a death investigation and is requesting assistance from the local community. KSP is also asking for assistance from anyone that would have been traveling through the area of KY 36 between Milton, KY and Carrollton, KY between the hours of 6:30 a.m. and 7:40 a.m. on December 8, 2016.
The female was last known to be at the Souvenir Shop in Milton, KY around the time of 6:30-6:45 a.m. The unidentified female was walking from Milton towards Carrollton on KY 36 East when she was struck on the bridge just outside the city limits on Milton near School Hollow Road.
