KSP Post 6 Dry Ridge Welcomes Two New Supervisors

(Dry Ridge, KY) - The Kentucky State Police Post 6 Dry Ridge would like to welcome two new supervisors to its ranks. The Kentucky State Police recognized the promotion of 16 officers throughout the state at a ceremony held on February 12, 2016 in Frankfort.

Sgt. John C. Hollon was promoted to lieutenant and transferred from Post 9 in Pikeville to Post 6 in Dry Ridge. A resident of Jackson, Hollon is a 12-year veteran of the agency. Lt Hollon is a graduate of Breathitt County High School, and attended Union College. He is a recipient of the Bravery award in 2012 and Meritorious Achievement with V device for Valor. He is married to Crystal Hollon. He is the son of the late John M. Hollon and Betty Maggard of Stanton, Ky.

Tpr. First Class Zachary L. Jones was promoted to sergeant and transferred from Post 16 in Henderson to Post 6 in Dry Ridge. A resident of Owensboro, Jones is an 11-year veteran of the agency. Sgt. Jones attended Pike Central High School in Pike County Indiana, he went to Vincennes University also in Indiana. He is a two time winner of the Governor's D.U.I. Enforcement award and a three time MADD Trooper of the year. Sgt. Jones is married to Cortney Jones and they have three children. He is the son of the Joetta Gudrof of Winslow, Ind.
