Grant County Drug Arrest

Dry Ridge, Ky. (June 21, 2016) - On Monday, May 23, 2016 the Kentucky State Police in Dry Ridge conducted a traffic stop on I-75 just south of the Crittenden exit. Michael Woodyard (55) of Crittenden was found to be in possession of prescription medication and crystal methamphetamine. Kentucky State Police Troopers executed two search warrants based off information from the traffic stop, both in the city limits of Crittenden. Troopers located methamphetamine, marijuana, prescription drugs, several items of drug paraphernalia and cash. Kentucky State Police made three arrests in this case. All three arrestees were lodged at the Grant County Detention Center. The three individuals and their charges are Mike Woodyard (55) of Crittenden, Trafficking in Controlled Substance 1st degree, 1st offense (opiates), Possession control substance 1st degree, 1st offense (methamphetamine), Possession drug paraphernalia, and Prescription control substance not improper container 1st. Jonathan Smith (31) of Crittenden, Trafficking in Controlled Substance 1st degree 1st offense (methamphetamine), Possession marijuana, Possession drug paraphernalia and Persistent felony offender. Jessica Dietz (34)of Crittenden, Possession of Controlled Substance 1st degree 1st offense (opiates) and Possession drug paraphernalia.
