Campton Man Killed in a Collision on KY 715

(Pine Ridge, KY) - On Saturday, March 05, 2016 at 3:28 a.m. Wolfe County Dispatch Center requested assistance with a fatal collision on KY 715 in the community of Pine Ridge. Trooper Leslie Strong, Sergeant Brian Lee, Wolfe County Sheriff's Office and Wolfe County E.M.S. responded to the scene. Upon arrival it was determined Roy G. Biram, 62, of Campton, was traveling north on KY 715 when he lost control of the vehicle. Mr. Biram left the roadway striking an earth embankment, causing Mr. Biram to be ejected from the vehicle. Mr. Biram was transported to Kentucky River Medical Center in Jackson, where he succumbed to his injuries. Passenger John Whisman, 51, of Campton, was air lifted to the University of Kentucky Hospital; Mr. Whisman is listed in stable condition. The collision remains under investigation by Trooper Leslie Strong.
