Death Investigation / McCreary County

London, KY. (July 11, 2017) On Tuesday, July 11, 2017 at approximately 9:00 AM, Kentucky State Police Post 11, London received a report of a human body lying in the yard of a residence located off KY HWY 1651 in the Whitley City community of McCreary County.

Upon arrival, KSP Detective Billy Correll discovered Vinson W. Tucker, 79, of Stearns, deceased. Video surveillance obtained from a nearby residence revealed several dogs had attacked and fatally injured the victim.

The dogs were located in close proximity to the scene and put down.

Tucker’s body will be transported to the State Medical Examiner’s Office in Frankfort were an autopsy is scheduled for tomorrow.

The dogs have been submitted to the State Veterinarian for necropsy and rabies testing.

Detective Correll is continuing the investigation. He was assisted at the scene by Troopers from Post 11, McCreary County Sheriff’s Office, McCreary County Animal Control and McCreary County Coroner’s Office.
